ABOUT WHITNEY
I’m an artist, storyteller, and producer who believes creativity isn’t something you outgrow, but something you return to.
I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always drawing, painting, baking, or finding ways to turn empty space into something expressive. Over time, life and career pulled me in more structured directions, but creativity never stopped calling me back. It simply found new forms. Through food, design, video, and eventually, paint.
I studied Film, Video, and Media through the School of Art at the University of Oklahoma, where I first fell in love with visual storytelling. While my path didn’t unfold in a straight line, every chapter shaped how I create today. Years spent in hospitality and leadership roles sharpened my ability to connect with people, build community, and bring ideas to life; skills that now deeply inform my art.
Storytelling, whether through paint, film/video, or media, is at the core of everything I do.
My creative journey is driven by a simple mission: to reconnect with the curiosity and freedom of the kid who always wanted to make things, and to create work that helps people see the world a little differently. I’m building a life where creativity isn’t a side project. It’s the foundation.
Austin Artbox Program
Through the Artbox Program, we strive to honor and celebrate people and cultural histories, and advance equity and safety in Austin.
Austin Transportation and Public Works
I’m working through the process to sponsor a new Artbox in Austin.
Mock-up of my Artbox Design
This project is an unpaid program. A lot of larger arts programs will sponsor artists, but I’m the first solo artist applying to add my artwork. If you’d like to help support me, here is my Venmo. Funds will go to supplies for the Artbox.
This channel holds a collection of creative work across different chapters of my life. It includes cooking videos I made during the COVID shutdown, podcast conversations centered around fear, growth, and self-expression, and a new monthly music video project where I explore creativity through sound and visuals. Some projects are polished. Some are experiments. All of them are honest.
